Authenticate

Protect your consumers and your data.

Username and passwords are no longer enough to keep your user accounts secure. The mobile phone has emerged as the premier tool to provide layered security and effectively protect accounts from compromise. With payvia's set of authentication tools Merchants and Developers can eliminate fraud and user account breaches with Two-Factor Authentication.

payvia's Authenticate solution provides Merchants and Developers with:

  • Secure public encryption to payvia API's
  • Two-factor authentication and One-Time Password protection options
  • IP whitelisted connections
  • Simple setup and deployment
  • Advanced fraud detection systems
  • Constant security auditing
  • Cost-effective, reliable, double factor user authentication

There are no extra devices to buy or install, and it takes just a few lines of code and a few pennies to dramatically increase security.

Two-Factor Authentication

payvia's Two-Factor Authentication adds a critical layer of security beyond username and password. It requires both "something you know" (your password) and "something you have" (your phone). By leveraging the phone as an authentication device, payvia provides carrier-grade network security to support you and your business.

How It Works:

  1. User logs in with username and password.
  2. payvia sends the user a text message containing
    a unique one-time passcode.
  3. User enters the passcode & is authenticated!

One-Time Password

payvia's One-Time Password is a convenient service that can be used in place of a traditional password, especially if a user is making a transaction from a shared device. Companies can protect their brand and their customers by verifying the identity of users in real-time using the simplest and most widely deployed technology available - the mobile phone.

How It Works:

  1. User logs in with username and requests passcode
  2. payvia sends the user a text message containing
    a one-time passcode
  3. User enters the passcode & is authenticated!
