payvia CTO Alek Zdziarski was invited to speak on a panel about mobile payments at last week’s API World. Using mobile payments for monetizing is a hot topic for developers right now but a lot of people don’t realize that an incredible 97% of transactions get abandoned on mobile devices because of the frustrating experience of completing a purchase on a small screen.
To solve that problem payvia recently launched two new APIs. The first gives developers the ability to use carrier data to authenticate a consumer who is making a transaction, and the second checks whether the consumer is eligible to make a mobile payment using their carrier bill, before offering them this option. Both of these features significantly reduce the friction for consumers when making purchases on their mobile and payvia has already seen much higher purchase conversions as a result.
